eTourism -
a keyword that shows greater effects and consequences in the tourism industry than expected some years ago. The worldwide biggest industry takes advantage out of the "e" in many ways - with huge success! Statistics and forecasts come thick and fast and the growthrates don´t seem to by influenced the bad mood regarding eCommerce.


However the field of eTourism is extremely multi-facetted. The permanently and quickly changing general framework ( i.e. technology, changing society that involves travel behavior, internet usage behavior, political frameworks) make eTourism beeing an enormous challenge for this field.


The different value chains in the different branches of industry ( whether the Hospitality Industry, Airline Industry or the Travel Agend industry and many more) facilitate many chances through using information technology and ask for new concepts and strategies.

The aim of this website is to provide a collection of resources for everyone interested in eTourism - whether students, academics or practitioners.
